Finally I walked up to him, grabbed him by his arm and dragged him over to me. I stood and stared at him for a few minutes. It would be a compliment coming from you.' So I spat on him, right in his face. "A guy walked up to me and said, 'You're Henry, right dude?' and I said yeah. I told him, 'I don't want to disturb the signal.' For me, there is no such thing as 'drunken joy'. Either you give them the gas chamber for a parking violation or make homicide a misdemeanor. Tons of lawbooks, processes, time consuming, money wasting. I'm sick and tired of all this court b.s. "All laws should have the same penalty for being broken. Keep your blood clean, your body lean and your mind sharp." If I can get this far, I would be very surprised if you couldn't get at least twice as far. I am a guy who used to work at an ice cream store in Washington D.C. anyway, i just wanted to drop a few quotes from the book that jumped out at me when i first read it. many today would dismiss the music as teenage rebellion but they would be doing a disservice to the whole movement. they come from the same straight edge camp as fugazi which values a clean body and sharp mind. i haven't listened to much black flag but i appreciate their attitude.
for those unfamiliar with black flag, i have to admit that i'm somewhat in the boat with you. it's written by henry rollins and it's a journal that he kept during his days singing with black flag. i don't know what made me pull it out again, but i'm glad that i have. it was recommended by a friend of mine quite a while ago and it was a great read. That's the title of the book that i've been re-reading (slowly).
